This Privacy Policy explains how Pinoka handles user data. Pinoka is a local-first note-taking application designed to keep your notes under your control.
Pinoka stores your notes, folders, attachments, and encrypted content locally on your device. Pinoka does not store your notes on servers owned or operated by Pinoka.
If you enable cloud synchronization, your data may be stored in your own cloud account, such as Google Drive or Apple iCloud.
Cloud synchronization is used to keep your notes available across your devices and to help restore your data if you lose or replace a device.
Pinoka does not operate its own cloud storage for user notes.
Pinoka supports encrypted notes. Encrypted notes are protected using encryption keys created or managed on your device.
You are responsible for keeping your passwords, keys, and recovery information safe. If you lose access to encryption keys or passwords, Pinoka may not be able to recover encrypted notes.
Pinoka may allow you to attach images or other files to your notes. These attachments are stored locally and, if synchronization is enabled, may also be stored in your selected cloud storage provider.
Pinoka does not sell your personal data.
Pinoka does not use your notes, folders, attachments, or encrypted content for advertising.

If you purchase a Pinoka Pro subscription, the payment is processed by the app store platform, such as Google Play. Pinoka does not directly receive or store your full payment card details.
Because Pinoka is local-first, you can delete your notes and app data from your device. If synchronization is enabled, you may also need to delete synchronized data from your selected cloud provider, such as Google Drive or iCloud.
Pinoka is not specifically designed for children and is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
